“Letting go of what no longer
serves you and taking on what supports inner growth may not please everyone you
know. But adjusting our life over time to allow for more inner stillness and
silence will, along with the other preparations, cultivate the ground of our
life so that the seed of integral health can fully bloom” (Dacher,
2006).
Silence and stillness focuses on awareness and integral
health. The goal is to eliminate needless activities throughout our day and
within our physical environment that can affect our mind in negative ways. The
objective is to find inner peace, calmness and silence.
Thanks for reading!
I love your post and the idea of reaching the level of balance to be able to embrace stillness. I strive to work toward this each day and I think it is wonderful that you are making this a priority.
ReplyDeleteHi Lori,
ReplyDeleteInner peace is the ultimate in assuring world peace, because without inner peace there cannot be outer peace. I love your blog, and I look forward to what you have to say. Sharing is a beautiful thing when it is good that you are sharing. Something as simple as a smile can warm the coldest heart, and in addition, smiling is good for the soul. Thanks Lori.
Peace,

That is what I have tried to understand and incorporate silence in stillness into my goals this week. I never realized until this class that being "aware" in our lives can have so many positive affects on our health journeys. Its the first step to even recognizing the parts of our daily lives we truely want to change or improve.
ReplyDeleteHello Lori
ReplyDeleteI think in our society everyone is so into physical well being but you never hear about inner well being. I think this class has really helped people realize how important it is to not only eat right and exercise but how to connect emotionally to relieve stress from our daily life. You made a valid point about "inner peace, calmenes and silence."
